What the job market actually looks like

JobShifu crawls employer applicant-tracking systems directly rather than buying a feed, so it can watch a posting appear, sit, disappear, and come back. These are findings from that crawl.

How often are job postings relisted?

About one in 20 open roles has been posted, closed, and posted again — the same requisition on the same employer board. Broken down by function and seniority across 937,037 open roles at 17,994 employers. Read the numbers →

How these numbers are produced

Every figure comes from postings JobShifu crawled itself, counted under the same serving rules the product uses, so the public numbers agree with what the app shows. Figures resting on too few postings, or on too few employers to be a market rate rather than one company's hiring, are reported as withheld rather than shown. Where a field is only sometimes stated by employers, the share of postings that stated it is published next to the rate.

Nothing here identifies a posting or reproduces a job description.
