What HiringCafe does well
HiringCafe’s search includes salary, experience, location, education and company filters. Its public results let you save, hide and mark jobs as applied. Those controls are useful when you want to narrow a large search and organize a shortlist. Explore HiringCafe’s search.
Its FAQ describes free core search, saved searches, boards and a Talent Agent that finds matches. We have not independently tested its coverage or refresh speed. Read HiringCafe’s explanation.

Bring more of your experience to every application
JobShifu’s useful difference is what happens when a requirement points to work you have done but left off your resume. You confirm that experience, review the proposed addition, and keep it in your Vault, your reusable master resume.
Illustrative example: a role asks for incident-response leadership. Your resume mentions platform engineering but leaves out the incidents you coordinated.
Compare the requirement
Check what the employer asks for against the experience you have already recorded.
Confirm the work you did
Add the incident you led, your responsibilities and the outcome you can support. If you have not done the work, leave the qualification gap visible.
Review the resume change
Check the suggested addition and its source before using it. Source checks support your review; they do not replace it.
Reuse it next time
The confirmed experience stays available for another role. Track the application with the resume you sent.
Does employer sourcing eliminate ghost jobs?
No. A listing can remain on an employer’s website while hiring is paused. HiringCafe describes filtering low-quality listings. JobShifu records posting history and checks for removals. Neither observation confirms that an employer is interviewing.
Use posting-age signals to decide what to investigate. For broader context, our job posting lifespan research and relisting research include dated findings, methods and downloadable datasets. Those are population measures, not verdicts about an individual vacancy.
Which should you try?
Try HiringCafe if detailed discovery filters are your immediate priority. Try JobShifu if you want to turn a promising role into a reviewed resume and keep relevant experience available for the next application.
Run the same role and location search in both. Check relevant listings, employer links, filter access and the work needed to prepare one application. We have not measured a universal winner on inventory, speed or hiring outcomes.
Common questions
Is JobShifu a HiringCafe alternative?
Yes, if you want employer-sourced job discovery connected to resume tailoring, application autofill and tracking. HiringCafe is also worth trying for its detailed search filters and saved boards. Compare results for your own role and location before deciding.
Can I use both tools?
Yes. You can discover a role in either tool, read the employer’s posting, and use JobShifu to prepare a resume for that job. You do not need to move your entire search to try the tailoring workflow.
Is JobShifu completely free?
Public job browsing is free. An account adds free job tracking and profile autofill, plus limited AI allowances. Pro expands access to AI features. See JobShifu’s pricing page for current limits and plan details.
