Search in a sentence
Describe the job the way you would to a friend: the role, the city or remote, the pay floor, the companies to skip. Shifu turns that into a search card listing what it will require, prefer and leave out, and shows it to you before anything runs.
The jobs come from JobShifu's own index of employer career sites. A card in it is at most 30 days old, and a posting that has closed drops out, so the search starts from roles that are still accepting applications. You can check any link yourself with the free posting checker.
Every change is a card you approve
Shifu proposes. You apply or discard. Nothing changes on your account until you click.
Each card Shifu proposes is recorded in Settings under Shifu activity, with whether you applied it. Where the earlier state can be restored, such as a job's stage, an interview date or an alert, the log offers Undo. The record of what Shifu did comes from that log, not from the model's memory of the conversation.
Tailoring that cites its source
Shifu does not write resume lines on its own authority. Tailoring runs through the same pipeline as the rest of JobShifu: each proposed line cites the experience in your Vault it came from, and a line with no confirmed source is removed before you see the draft.
Every line cites experience you confirmed. Lines without a source are removed.
The Calibration Engine also flags wording to review, such as inflated scope. A valid source does not prove a sentence describes your work perfectly, so you still read the draft before you export it.
It fills, you submit
For a saved job whose link is an application form on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby, Shifu opens the posting in your browser and the JobShifu extension fills the form from your confirmed profile. It reports how many fields it filled and which it left for you, then stops. You read the form and press Submit.
On Workday and other sites that ask you to sign in first, Shifu tells you how to finish: sign in, then use autofill from the extension panel, which works the same way and also stops before Submit.
What Shifu will not do
- Submit an application. The last click is always yours.
- Invent experience. A resume line with no confirmed source is removed.
- Guess an answer. A field with no answer in your confirmed profile is left blank for you, and demographic questions are never inferred.
- Change your account without asking. Every change is a card you approve.
- Solve CAPTCHAs or log in to sites as you. Sign-in pages are yours to complete.

Frequently asked questions
What is Shifu?
Shifu is the AI job search agent built into JobShifu. You ask in plain words, and it searches jobs from employer career sites, tailors your resume, updates your tracker and fills applications, showing each change as a card you approve first. It is in early access.
Does Shifu apply to jobs for me?
No. Shifu fills the application in your own browser through the JobShifu extension and stops before Submit. Today that fill runs on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby application forms.
You review every field and press Submit yourself, and a field it cannot fill from your confirmed profile is left for you rather than guessed. Demographic questions are never inferred.
Will Shifu make things up on my resume?
Shifu tailors through the same pipeline as the rest of JobShifu. Each proposed line cites experience you confirmed in your Vault, a line with no confirmed source is removed before you see the draft, and you review every change before export.
How is Shifu different from asking a general chatbot about my job search?
Shifu works on your actual job search rather than on what you paste into a chat. It reads your saved jobs, your confirmed experience and your tracker, acts through the same screens you use, and keeps a log in Settings of what it proposed and what you applied, with Undo where the earlier state can be restored.
Who can use Shifu?
Shifu is in early access for a small group of invited accounts while it is widened, so it is not open to everyone yet.
Everything it runs on is open today: the job search, resume tailoring, autofill and the tracker all work in a free JobShifu account.
